Shwarties Hash Brown
Serves a crowd!
- 2 pounds frozen hash browns
- 500 ml sour cream
- 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1 can Cheddar Cheese Soup
- 1/3 cup melted butter or margarine
- 1 medium-sized onion, grated
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
- salt and pepper to taste
- Mix all ingredients together in a very large bowl.
- Spread mixture in a large pan (9 x 13" or larger).
- Bake for 1 to 1.5 hours at 350°F.
- This is a great casserole for a buffet or potluck. It can also be made into 2 smaller pans, and freezes well. Do not bake before freezing. (Jan 1, 2000)
