- 3 TBSP butter
- 1/4 cup chives or green onions, chopped
- 2 cups rice
- 1/2 tsp marjoram
- 1/2 tsp rosemary
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups chicken stock
- In saucepan, melt butter and saute chives/onions until softened. Add rice and cook, stirring, until the rice is lightly browned.
- Add herbs, salt and chicken stock. Bring to boil, then cover tightly and simmer until rice is tender. (Use cooking times for the rice you are using.)
- Use whatever kind of rice (Minute Rice, jasmine, basmati) and spices you have on hand. A little Mrs. Dash replaces the spices nicely. (Jan 3, 2019)
