Steven's Mocha Cake
2 Tbsp. Flour
2 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
3/4 cup White Sugar
1 cup Hazelnuts (or sliced Filberts)
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups Cream (or whipped cream)
1/2 cup White sugar
1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
1 Tbsp. Instant Coffee
1/4 tsp Salt
2 tsp. Vanilla
Grease 2 8 inch round pans and line with wax paper. Grease waxed paper.
CAKE: Put eggs and sugar ina blender and mix. Add nuts and process. Sift flour and baking powder and then add to blended mixture. Pour into prepared pan and bake
350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Invert and cool.
MOCHA CREAM: Whip cream until peaks form, and then add the last 5 ingredients. Beat until stiff.
When cakes cool, first carefully slice each cake in half to make 4 layers in total. Assemble using the Mocha cream.
